Pathfinder® provides an exciting introduction to Space Camp® in a three-day, two-night program for groups.

Build a model rocket, train like an astronaut and work in mission control or launch as part of the flight crew on a simulated space mission.

Program activities are led by Camp staff. Adult chaperones participate in the program.

The US Space & Rocket Center's first aid clinic is open during museum hours and is unable to handle any medical needs of participants attending our Pathfinder camp programs. As with any school field trip function, chaperones are responsible for their participants' first aid and medications. This responsibility also includes, but is not limited to, monitoring or isolating a sick participant for an extended period of time. Chaperones are responsible for monitoring and quarantining sick students overnight for the duration of the program or until their parent/guardian is able to pick them up from camp. Please note an onsite room may not be available for temporary isolations. Groups should have a plan for providing an offsite room if needed.

Our staff will work with the Pathfinder group leader on what may be needed (medicine, ambulance, etc.); however, the responsibility for the care of the participant is up to the Pathfinder group leader.

Groups have the option to attend:
Fall/Winter/Spring--Tuesday to Thursday or Friday to Sunday sessions - Starting January 2023 - Starts on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday
Summer—Friday to Sunday sessions

Pathfinder Schedule:
Arrival window: 1:30-2:30 pm
Day 1: 3pm -8pm
Day 2: 7am-8pm
Day 3: 7am-11am

Pathfinder Program Includes: T-shirt, Team Photo, Program Completion Certificates.

Packing List:

• Hand sanitizer
• Closed-toed shoes
• Water bottle
• Backpack or day pack
• Sunscreen
• Bug Spray
• Cameras and video cameras are encouraged
• Change or $1 bills for vending machines
• Bed linens (twin sheets, pillowcase, blanket and/of sleeping bag)
• Pillow
• Towels and washcloths
• Padlock for your locker
• Toiletries: soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.
• Appropriate clothing for changing weather conditions
• Calling card/Cell phone (Cell phone usage by trainees is not permitted during the program activities.)
• Shower shoes

Snacks containing nuts/peanuts, may contain nuts, or processed in a facility with nuts are not allowed and will be immediately discarded without reimbursement.

While we make every effort to ensure that camp areas such as our Habitats and Camp Galley are a nut-free environment, we cannot guarantee the total absence of nut products on our premises.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

*On-site lodging is included in the program price. One discounted adult at $199 for every 15 students you bring. All registrations are subject to a non-refundable $200 group registration fee.
